Broj žrtava u Turskoj i Siriji porastao je na preko 500. Više od 3.000 ljudi je povrijeđeno, a na stotine ljudi se i dalje nalazi pod ruševinama.

- Situacija je veoma loša. Jesiljurt broji 350.000 stanovnika. Uništene su stare zgrade. Bolnica i hotel su u potpunosti uništeni. Imamo informacije da se srušilo najmanje 10 zgrada u kojima je bilo između osam i 20 stanova. Imamo probleme sa zgradama u centru, koje su starije od 20 godina. Sve dodatno otežava i snijeg koji pada. Sve nam je potrebno. Nemamo dovoljno alata. Činimo sve da spasimo ljude iz ruševina, ali nam treba pomoć. Podigli smo šatore i sve što je neophodno. U saobraćaju je kolaps- rekao je Mehmet Cinar, gradonačelnik Jesiljurta u pokrajini Malatja.
